In what could be a major boost for Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO), its subsidiary Rockstar Games is reportedly on the brink of announcing the eagerly-anticipated ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ game as early as this week.

What Happened: Rockstar is planning to unveil the game trailer next month, coinciding with Rockstar’s 25th anniversary, reported Bloomberg.

‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ is expected to be one of the most monumental entertainment releases of the decade, with fan and investor anticipation reaching fever pitch. Its predecessor, ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, proved a runaway success, selling over 185 million copies and only trailing ‘Minecraft’ in the list of best-selling video games of all time.

00:00 Rockstar's highly anticipated game, of course,
00:02 Grand Theft Auto VI,
00:03 expected to be announced later this week.
00:06 Of course, Grand Theft Auto V proved runway success,
00:09 selling over 185 million copies,
00:13 only trailing Minecraft as the best-selling game of all time.
00:18 Of course, I can tell you right now, guys,
00:21 even as I get older and older,
00:23 I'll still play some Grand Theft Auto VI.
00:25 What I'm waiting to hear though,
00:27 and a lot of people were kind of,
00:29 this is speculation, but they wanted to see
00:32 if potentially Grand Theft Auto VI
00:34 could be moved to like VR,
00:36 like the Oculus or something like that.
00:39 If that happens, I'll tell you right now,
00:41 that's a big move.
00:42 So just putting a little speculation out there,
00:44 there's no confirm that it would switch over to the Oculus,
00:48 but just the anticipation of Grand Theft Auto coming out
00:52 is enough here to get Take-Two moving,
00:54 and they do have earnings tonight.
00:57 - Amazingly, the moves in these stocks off the games,
01:02 like, I mean, you're up $13
01:04 'cause they're moving up the release of the game, correct?
01:06 Is that what it is, moving up the release of it?
01:09 - Well, it just, we didn't have an expected date.
01:13 - Okay, now we got an expected date.
01:15 - Yeah, so now it's gonna be announced later this week.
01:19 We still don't know the exact date that it's coming out,
01:22 but we're told that the date
01:23 will be released later this week.
01:25 And then, so boom, we get the 13-point pop.
01:28 I would normally say just fade this stuff,
01:30 but it hasn't been the market to fade
01:32 for the last few days.
01:33 The stocks that gap up go higher,
01:35 aka data dog, you know, gaps up, 96 continues to go.
01:40 Bulls are in complete control here,
01:42 makes shorting tougher.
01:43 Even the stocks that are coming in,
01:45 they're still by the dip demand.
01:46 People really believe, you know, this is it.
01:48 Like, we saw the bottom
01:50 and it's blast off to all-time highs.
01:52 It could happen, you know?
01:54 I can't believe we blasted off, you know,
01:55 as much as we did.
01:56 I thought we were oversold.
01:57 I thought we'd get a bounce.
01:58 This didn't think this much this fast.
02:01 So obviously, you know, I've been looking for laggard stocks
02:04 that haven't gone yet.
02:05 SMCI hadn't gone yet.
02:06 Another one that I am watching here,
02:08 which is trading crazy right now is Unity.
02:10 That must be off of the Roblox, which just came out.
02:13 But it hasn't really gone yet either.
02:15 So I am looking at the laggard trade here.
02:18 Has been working so far.
02:19 Jump back over to just to take two, though.
02:22 It's a big move, Joel.
02:24 Give us some levels here.
02:25 149 in the pre-market.
02:27 Yeah, yeah.
02:29 Nice round number.
02:30 149.43 is your pre-market high.
02:32 But let's go back to your August high.
02:35 Your early August high came in at just under 150.
02:39 So you gotta think about that.
02:40 That's only 70, 80 cents away.
02:43 And a little gap to fill above that to 151.61.
02:47 But as we saw with the dog yesterday,
02:50 now the day the dog move, you know, was off earnings.
02:52 As you said, this is a, you know,
02:55 moving the date of Grand Theft Auto, which I don't know.
02:59 Have you ever played that, Dennis?
03:01 Have you ever played Grand Theft Auto?
03:02 I'm still stuck on Nintendo.
03:03 We play as Nintendo.
03:05 We're still playing my old Wii.
