00:00 Linus Malaysia Sindirian Berhad has stated its intention to withdraw its application to the High Court
00:07 for a judicial review of the Government's imposition of several conditions in its operating licence.
00:13 Justice 1 Ahmad Farid 1 Saleh was informed by lawyer Cecile Abraham
00:18 that the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry had renewed Linus' operating licence until March 2026.
00:25 The renewal, made last month, will allow Linus to continue importing and processing rare earths for a two-year period.
00:33 The withdrawal did not take place today after both Linus and the Attorney-General's Chambers,
00:38 appearing for the Minister, Chang Lee Kang, and the Government,
00:41 could not agree to the terms of a proposed consent order to be recorded by the Court.
00:46 The matter has been fixed for case management on November 14th to allow the parties to come to a full agreement of terms.
00:53 In August, the Court granted Linus leave to pursue a judicial review of the Government's decision to impose several conditions on its operating licence.
