00:05 adopted a defiant stance in which she held,

00:09 and she has it even in her own evidence,

00:12 several public rallies defiantly telling

00:14 whoever came to listen, "Kaende, kaende, kabate, kabate."

00:19 "Kaende, kaende, Mr. Speaker," is Sheng,

00:24 is Nairobi slang for I don't care,

00:28 whatever will be, will be, I'll do what I do.

00:31 In Swahili they say, "Naliwe liwalo."

00:34 That is the meaning of kaende, kaende,

00:37 and we'll be showing you how throughout the last one year,

00:40 even after the graceful lessons from Senator Tobiko,

00:44 I recall, from the other senators,

00:46 the governor's mantra in persisting on this series

00:51 of misconduct is, "I don't care, whatever will be, will be."

01:25 are conduct and becoming of any leader.

01:29 Mr. Speaker, we expect, and it will happen,

01:36 just like last time,

01:38 the governor will appear on this podium

01:41 taking the posture of an innocent and vulnerable victim

01:46 of toxic masculinity, harmful patriarchy,

01:51 gender stereotyping, political schemes.

01:54 That's what our response tells you.

02:00 And the governor, if you want to confirm it,

02:03 at page two of our response,

02:05 she tells you this motion will not be here.

02:08 It is a scheme by a deputy who is power hungry

02:11 to take the governorship through the back door.

02:16 She tells you it is the enduring checker.

02:18 She tells you if our own officials,

02:22 our own secretary, our own chief of staff

02:26 has done anything wrong,

02:28 even the things she acknowledged,

02:29 she said they bear their own responsibility.

02:34 In short, she will come to you looking as meek as a lamb.

02:43 Our message to the Senate is if you acquit her this time,

02:48 she will walk out this door and it will be "kaende kaende,"

02:54 Whatever will be, will be.
