00:13 and Commerce, Curtis Williams, and other heads of security companies arriving for the meeting.
00:20 Mr. Williams expressed some of his concerns to TV6.
00:23 "It has been brought to my attention about the spate of robberies happening around the
00:30 weekend and we are very much concerned, the business community.
00:36 We want to take this opportunity to ask all members to be vigilant at their business and
00:42 residence."
00:43 Mr. Williams noted daily events leading up to the weekend.
00:48 "So the activities will be intense, all the parties, etc.
00:52 So we ask the members to be more vigilant than anything else.
00:56 The criminals will look at this period and capitalize on it."
01:00 The Chamber is asking police to step up patrols in Tobago, especially in the known hotspots.
01:07 "We also ask upon the police to step up on their patrols and to conduct as much exercise
01:15 as possible to give us that sense of safety as we move along throughout the carnival.
