A man has been left with serious injuries following a collision in Chesterfield.
00:06
Police say the incident occurred in Chatsworth Road, near the junction of Alma Street West,
00:11
and saw a black Citroen collide with a man in his 50s, who then collided with three women.
00:15
The man was taken to hospital with serious multiple injuries, and remains in hospital,
00:20
receiving treatment for these injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
00:23
The three women, who were all in their 40s, suffered minor injuries.
00:28
The driver of the car stopped at the scene, and is helping police with their enquiries.
00:32
Detectives investigating the incident have asked for anyone with dashcam
00:36
or CCTV footage of the incident to contact the force.
00:40
Anyone with information can contact Derbyshire Police, quoting the reference 23*640-584.

A Chesterfield community group has been left devastated after vandals targeted a popular
00:55
park for the second time in five months. The incident happened at around 1.30am on Friday,
01:00
in Badger Park, Brockwell, when the play area was set on fire. The fire brigade attended and put out
01:06
the flames, and green spacers called on teams off the area due to potential safety issues caused by
01:11
the fire. In May, vandals destroyed a community orchard planted by children at the park. The
01:17
Friends of Badger Park organised and raised funds to save the park, and pay for a £50,000 new play
01:23
area which was officially opened in 2022. Martin O'Neill, who is secretary of the group, said
01:28
"We are devastated. We'd like to appeal to our neighbours to share any information they have
01:32
so we can find the ones responsible. I've been getting loads of texts from people today saying
01:37
how sorry they are to hear about the damage, as they know we put a lot of effort into the area,
01:41
and they understand how personal this is."
