In tabling Budget 2024 at the Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 13), Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said there will be a tax relief of up to RM2,000 for skill improvement for taxpayers who are taking up photography, sewing and other healthy lifestyles.

He also said the government will allocate RM110mil to revitalise 150 local authority areas which include repairing and upgrading the deteriorating hawker centres and public market infrastructure.

01:21 10,000 small shops and stalls will be beautified and improved in terms of cleanliness

01:30 4,000 new business units that are diverse, comfortable and safe
01:34 will be built by the entire PBT with a settlement of 50 million ringgit.
01:39 This means excluding the rent of kiosks for the first six months of business.
01:45 The PUNB Mara Agency is also involved in the same steps.
01:51 The local product purchase business is excelled through the Malaysian Made It It's All For You campaign.
01:59 And the savings from the R&D of MySTI sites is estimated at 27 million ringgit.
02:09 1,200 franchise businesses have registered under the KPTN Kosara Hidup.
02:16 And 720 of them are owned by local companies.
02:21 With a sales value in the country of 30 billion ringgit.
