Millicent Cassianes is a Kenyan teacher shortlisted for a prestigious global award called the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize 2023 with a $1 million (Ksh.148M) cash prize. This is an appreciation of her efforts to ensure special needs children are educated.

01:48 Through this award, there'll be a lot of sensitization on special needs education,
01:53 so that those who are able... who have given birth to special children
01:58 can know that these children are special, and bring them to school.
