Annual Walk of HOPE event in aid of mental health which sees people walk from Marsden to The Angel of the North

00:00 So the annual Walk of Hope event took place at the weekend.

00:03 For anyone that doesn't know what that is, it was set up by Angie from Heaven Helps,

00:07 who sadly lost her dad to suicide in 2012.

00:11 So the walk sees people start off from Marsden Grotto and walk right up to the Angel of North.

00:18 And it's just a chance for people to come together to remember those that they've lost through a suicide

00:22 and raise awareness about mental health.

00:24 On the walk, they carry a banner which has loads of people's names on

00:28 who have sadly lost their lives to suicide.

00:31 This is really important to me because my brother-in-law, Scott Lovely,

00:36 he sadly took his own life three years ago and his name features on the banner.

00:40 So it's really important for me to cover this.
