00:00Okay then Tony, A Level and Level 3 qualification results day to day, was there lots of happy faces today?
00:06Oh yeah absolutely, I mean there's always lots of happy faces across Level 3 results days
00:12and there are always students as well that don't necessarily get what they want to get
00:17but equally they've been on a tremendous journey. I think in overall this year our Level 3 results for A Levels, T Levels and BTECs were really well
00:27we did great again as usual. Overall our T Levels particularly 94% pass rate across our T Levels
00:37and all T Levels achieved above the national rate this year which is brilliant. BTECs 98% overall pass rates
00:45and an increase in our A Star to B grades for A Level students, particularly again this year in the arts subjects
00:52and film, media, English, literature, sociology etc. So they've done exceptionally well across all areas of the results.
01:00Have a lot of the kids got the chance to go and do their first choices, whether it's universities, apprenticeships,
01:04a lot of the kids got what they need? Yeah absolutely, we've got high figures again this year for first choice
01:09but actually the highest probably that we've ever had with 95% achieving their first choice as of 8 o'clock this morning.
01:15So I'm sure that will go up throughout the day. So overall pleased with the results? Yeah absolutely pleased
01:20and you know as always it's a testament to the staff on how hard they work to support students
01:25but equally the great students that we have at Sunderland College every year.
