00:03 Mr. President, it's an honor to welcome you back
00:21 to the White House and the Oval Office.
00:24 And earlier this week at the U.N. General Assembly,
00:26 I made it clear that no nation can be truly secure in the world
00:33 if, in fact, we don't stand up and defend the freedom of
00:37 Ukraine from the face of this Russian brutality and aggression.
00:42 That's why we brought together a coalition of more than 50
00:45 countries -- more than 50 countries -- to help Ukraine
00:48 defend itself.
00:51 It's critical.
00:53 And that's why, together with our partners in Ukraine,
00:56 we have provided humanitarian aid,
00:59 as well as tens of millions of people with food,
01:03 clean water, and so much more.
01:06 And that's why -- that's why we've begun the process of
01:09 formalizing our long-term commitment to Ukraine's
01:12 security alongside the G7 and with other partners.
01:18 And that's why we supported just and lasting peace,
01:22 all in the respect of Ukraine's sovereignty and its territorial integrity.
01:28 Mr. President, the brave people of Ukraine -- and that's not
01:30 hyperbole -- the people of Ukraine have shown enormous bravery.
01:34 Enormous bravery.
01:35 They have inspired the world -- really inspired the world with
01:39 the determination to defend these principles.
01:43 And together with our partners and allies,
01:45 the American people are determined to see to it that
01:48 we do all we can to ensure the world stands with you,
01:51 and that is our overwhelming objective right now.
01:54 So welcome.
01:55 Welcome.
01:56 We must welcome.
01:57 President Putin: Thank you so much, Mr. President.
01:58 So warm and strong words to all the Ukrainians from your side.
02:05 Thank you.
02:06 I appreciate it.
02:07 I'm glad to meet you.
02:08 And it's already the short time this year.
02:11 Thank you for the invitation.
02:12 Our regular dialogue has proved that our countries are really,
02:16 truly allies and strategic friends.
02:19 And we greatly appreciate that.
02:21 And we are grateful for the vital assistance provided by the
02:26 United States to Ukraine to combat Russian terror --
02:30 really, terror.
02:32 Today, I'm in Washington to strengthen our coalition to
02:35 defend Ukraine and children, our families,
02:38 our homes, freedom and democracy in the world.
02:42 When it comes to weapons, we will discuss everything with a
02:45 special emphasis on air defense.
02:48 To this day, one year ago, we had --
02:53 we made this big exchange of presidents,
02:59 world presidents and journalists.
03:03 And it was -- we've gotten -- brought home defenders of
03:10 Azovstan and also citizens of the United States.
03:14 And I'm happy that we did it.
03:16 And I'm happy that we have a new president,
03:19 Alexander Druke, and Andrew Taihune, both from Alabama.
03:27 Thank you, Mr. President.
03:28 Thank you.
03:29 Thank you.
