00:03 - Regardless, I did a TikTok this week.
00:05 And the subject of that TikTok was,
00:08 hey, I know everybody loves David Montgomery this week,
00:11 but at the same time, I love Jameer Gibbs.
00:14 And I have a hot take there that I think Jameer Gibbs
00:16 finishes ahead of David Montgomery this week
00:18 in terms of points, because Seattle,
00:20 at a really rough time,
00:21 stopping anything through the air last week.
00:23 And if you listen to some of the coach speak as well,
00:25 we want to get Jameer Gibbs the ball more.
00:26 Well, of course you do,
00:27 'cause he was explosive and fantastic.
00:29 Yes, let's do that.
00:30 So I'm excited.
00:31 I can't believe I'm saying this.
00:32 I'm excited for the Lions offense.
00:33 I'm just excited about it.
00:35 So do you think Jameer Gibbs can live up
00:38 to the Joey P TikTok hot takeness?
00:40 - Oh, Delali, we're in a great spot today, baby.
00:45 I love it.
00:46 Jameer Gibbs, yes, I've got him ranked as an RB1, people.
00:49 He's inside of my top 12 backs.
00:50 I'm with you, Joey.
00:51 Let's ride, baby.
00:53 Seattle versus pass-catching running backs have been,
00:57 this is a defense that cannot stop anything
00:59 with their zone coverage,
01:01 much less pass-catching running backs.
01:03 Over the last three to five seasons,
01:05 they have been bottom 10 in everything
01:07 versus pass-catching running backs.
01:09 Two years ago, legendarily bad.
01:11 Like, if you could look over the last 15 years,
01:14 and this has been one of the worst defenses
01:16 versus receiving backs.
01:17 So yes, this is going to be the coming out party.
01:20 Jameer Gibbs is going to have himself a day.
01:22 Let's go, Joey.
01:24 Top 12 running back on the week.
01:27 Absolutely love it.
01:28 Let's go.
01:28 Actually, I want to know what you think of this,
01:30 'cause it's not that I don't like Montgomery at all,
01:32 'cause Montgomery has touchdown equity.
01:34 But I have one or two lineups this week
01:36 that have Gibbs and Montgomery,
01:38 because the price is so sweet.
01:40 I guess I can't say no.
01:41 Do you think that's an interesting way
01:43 to be responsibly different, as I like to put it out there?
01:46 'Cause I don't like being different
01:47 just for the sake of being different,
01:48 but when it comes to making money, I'm all for it.
01:50 What do you think about that combination
01:51 of those two guys here?
01:53 Like, I've got one or two lineups
01:54 that's just complete bangles, just smash,
01:57 like T. Higgins, Jamar Chase, and Joe Burrow,
01:59 let's go kind of stuff.
02:00 What do you think about Gibbs and Montgomery together
02:02 at that cheap price to get up to getting a lineup
02:05 that's got Amon Raw and Chase and Mahomes in it?
02:07 'Cause you could do that if you fade
02:08 and get into the Detroit backfield.
02:10 I think it's definitely a way to be different.
02:13 I'm not against it, because when you're setting lineups
02:16 and stuff, and we're talking about
02:17 how you're approaching DFS roster building,
02:20 you're telling yourself a story about how the game goes.
02:23 So all Joe is gonna tell himself a story about is,
02:25 okay, all the touchdowns go through the ground game,
02:30 or if they go to the passing game,
02:32 it's all to the running backs.
02:33 And that's a perfectly viable story to tell yourself.
02:36 I mean, like, what do we have to do?
02:37 Last year, DeAndre Swift was a huge red zone weapon
02:41 for Detroit, as well as Jamal Williams was top five
02:45 in basically every carry metric inside of the money zone,
02:49 inside of the 20, the 10, the five.
02:51 So could that happen today?
02:53 Yeah, absolutely.
02:54 If you're gonna go that route,
02:56 then you're fading Amon Ross St. Brown.
02:59 You're fading Sammy Ballgame, Sam Laporta.
03:02 As long as your lineups are correlating in that sense
03:04 and saying, okay, all the touchdowns go here,
03:07 then I don't care about the other parts or pieces,
03:09 'cause if this game fails, fails,
03:12 then the running backs eat.
03:14 Yeah, I'm totally on board with that, Joe.
