00:00 How did you come up with the idea of the new car?
00:05 It started last September, we are back in September.
00:08 It's been exactly a year since we started working on it,
00:10 extremely many hours.
00:12 All the knowledge that the club has,
00:14 has flowed into the car, so that it can be as fast as it is today.
00:17 What did you do to make the car more powerful?
00:22 When we designed the car,
00:24 we looked at how much load these components can withstand,
00:27 how much power these engines can really deliver.
00:30 And in the first run, we didn't want to go to the limit everywhere,
00:33 because the closer we are to the limit,
00:35 the greater the probability that something goes wrong.
00:37 How long did it take to build the car?
00:39 The time we had to beat was 1.46 seconds.
00:43 So we were able to subdue it clearly enough.
00:46 That was also a lesson for us,
00:48 that we don't just go a little bit down,
00:50 but that we really work it right.
00:52 How much does the car weigh?
00:54 The car weighs about 140 kg,
00:56 with the driver and so on, about 180 kg.
00:59 But we have about twice the lift,
01:01 just because of the power-ground effect.
01:04 That means we can bring twice as much power
01:06 as a comparable car to the ground.
01:08 What do you think about the car?
01:10 I feel the fear is definitely there,
01:12 or I probably say respect.
01:14 You can already taste how hard it is to knock,
01:17 but you just have to do it and pull through.
01:20 And then it's good again, and then it's fun.
01:23 The worst thing is a roller coaster,
01:25 where you don't have a quick start.
01:28 It's so tense and a kick.
01:31 The record was taken away by us at 22.
01:38 It went back to Stuttgart.
01:40 Then we said, yes, we want to get it back to Switzerland.
01:43 And we did it today.
01:45 Then we'll see if we can do it again.
01:48 [applause]
01:51 And like that!
01:53 [applause]
