John Askey reacts to Hartlepool United's 5-2 defeat at Oxford City

Hartlepool United manager John Askey shares his reaction following their 5-2 National League defeat to Oxford City.

00:00 It was really difficult to explain it. First off, we should go in with two or three up.

00:08 Second off, we've come out and we talked about keeping it going, what we've been doing,

00:14 and then for some reason we never went forward. And then they got, I think it wasn't even an

00:21 attack really, we gave a free kick away in the corner. And again, we've not been able to defend

00:28 and go into the box. It's happening week in, week out. We keep working on it, but

00:36 I think we don't want to see it. And yeah, not only are we not defending set-pieces well enough,

00:46 we're not scoring goals from our own set-pieces. So, it probably tells you something.

00:53 I think the two mistakes killed us. Obviously, Luke trying to dribble out of defence and then

00:59 Mane slipping. And then I don't think we could believe that we were two goals down.

01:05 But the manner in which we allowed the rest of the game to go on wasn't good enough.
