00:00well it was absolutely it was great because we needed to rescue the person out of the fire
00:07and it was a real fire so it was all like a real exercise and it was just it was hard
00:15but you really have to push yourself to to do something like this and I enjoyed it very much
00:22and you also at the end you need to put off the fire as well put down the fire so yeah it was
00:29really hard because it was ladders to climb and and stairs to go down and you have to work as a
00:34team so you have to communicate with your team as well so it really involves very good communication
00:40skills and and things like that in order to work together to get yourself out of that situation
00:46and to also save the person that you are meant to be saving and then covering that person all the way
00:53up um you know in the way where you came down you have to carry the dummy which is a person
00:59um all the way up so that was challenging a bit but we did it do you enjoy it and how you feel i really
01:05really enjoyed it i'm all pumped up and um you know i could do another one right now but yes it was
01:11really great my background is ex-war navy ex-fire service and the training we do here is probably
01:18more the most realistic training you are going to get uh in the country if not probably the best
01:23training you're going to get with live fire um today we've had nexus here uh training we've had a few
01:29next staff here before um they've all enjoyed themselves it is quite challenging uh but they've
01:36all reached that standard that we require for them to pass the uh the course that they've actually
01:41carried out today it's vital training for all the furry crew and this forms part of what we call
01:45their competent crew training which is an mca requirement to allow our our um crew to operate
01:51on the vessel and there's four elements to this training firefighting is just the first one and
01:56then we have sea survival personal social responsibility and also an element of first
02:00day training which they undertake so all the crew go through this training before we allow them to
02:04operate on the vessel supervised it is a challenging course you do have to be relatively fit to go and
02:10undertake it because it can be quite strenuous as you've already seen by going in them smoke-filled
02:14compartments but you know all the crew do seem to enjoy it and it's something that they go and
02:18revisit every five years
