00:00 What do you normally do on a bank holiday? Is there anything you like to do?
00:04 I normally go out with my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren.
00:06 Spend as much time with them as possible.
00:09 Oh fab. Is there any favourite place you like to go on a bank holiday?
00:12 We like to go to Beamish or just to the park. Just spend quality time.
00:17 It depends if we get organised really. If we can have some friends over and do something fun.
00:21 It's just a case of keeping the kids mildly entertained.
00:24 Or survival mode if you've not slept well.
00:28 This weekend, nothing special. Maybe walking. I'll be walking around if the weather's OK.
00:35 I love a cheeky bank holiday.
00:36 I love a bank holiday.
00:37 I'm down to have a full pamper day and then go out and get mashed up.
00:41 Go out, have a drink.
00:42 Go get Botox, get a face done.
00:44 It's our age generation.
00:46 Yeah, and then go absolutely crazy I think.
00:49 Will Brits be following the trends of bank holidays earlier in the year this time around?
00:53 Back in May, a survey found Brits wish they could spend less cash over the long weekends
00:58 with 23% cutting costs by either reading or listening to music,
01:02 12% going to a free local event and 10% exercising in their outdoor area.
01:08 Hosting or attending a barbecue or getting stuck in with some gardening were also popular pursuits.
01:14 But here's what some of you lots are planning.
01:16 Depending on the weather, I like to spend my time in the garden because there's always lots to do.
01:21 I like to go to Primark.
01:23 Spend time with friends and family I guess. Chill out if I'm not working.
01:28 That's it really.
01:29 I think it's a lazy day.
01:30 I think it really depends on the weather because you can't really count on it.
01:33 You might plan this great walk and then it's pouring with rain and so you end up sort of thinking,
01:39 "Oh, let's go to the pub or do something else."
01:41 But relaxing, spending time with my family, that's the best thing.
01:44 I have time with my family.
01:47 I play with my kids.
01:48 I have time for my wife.
01:50 You know, we can go out for shopping.
01:53 And then basically just to relax, cool down my brain and enjoy myself.
02:00 I like to find somewhere local, go for a nice walk, take the dog, go and visit a stately home.
02:06 Somewhere local really and just relax and enjoy time with the family.
02:10 For this one, I'll be going back to see my family in Carlisle.
02:16 So yeah, it would just be just see more family in that sense.
02:19 But I think a lot of times, depending on the job I would be working at the time,
02:23 I might just work it or whatever.
02:24 So they're not that special for me in that sense.
02:27 They're just a normal day, another Sunday as it were.
02:30 So yeah.
02:31 Visit my friends sometimes and walking on the street.
02:38 I usually like to go out with the kids and we go places like Martin Mear Wildlife Sanctuary.
02:45 I do actually avoid places on bank holidays though sometimes
02:49 because I don't like places when they're too busy.
02:52 Lazy day at home usually.
02:55 We call it a week from the weekend.
02:56 It's usually an extra day, extra night out, so an extra day to recover.
03:00 That's usually what I do on a bank holiday, recover.
