00:00 And Sam Byron, is he looking like the answer at left back in this league side?
00:05 He is at the moment, yeah, definitely. I mean, I think, I mean, quite simply with Sam Byron,
00:09 you know, the only sort of concern, if you like, over the summer about him potentially
00:13 joining was his injury record, obviously. And, you know, he's had a horrible time of
00:16 it and stuff. I didn't realise, you know, the full extent of it. I was doing some reading
00:19 up on when he was in Norwich City. I mean, it was nearly two years he was out after that
00:23 injury in February 2020 when he didn't even realise how bad it was against Liverpool,
00:27 I think it was. And apparently it was only when he got in the changing rooms afterwards
00:30 that he realised how bad it was because he couldn't take his boot off because of the
00:33 pain in his hamstring and he had to have it cut off in the end. I mean, that says it all.
00:36 And surgery and operations and whatever. So, I mean, obviously, like, you know, it's not
00:40 just that, there's other injuries too in previous years. So there is obviously a concern, but
00:44 he's looked really, really good, I've thought, so far since he's come into the team so far.
00:48 And if he stays fit, I mean, let's keep your fingers crossed, it doesn't seem, you know,
00:52 any issues at the moment, then, you know, I think, you know, you definitely start him.
00:56 To me, anyway, at the moment, he's first choice left back. There are other options, obviously.
01:00 Leo Helder started the first two games of the season. I think he's a talented youngster,
01:04 but I don't know if he's more of a centre-back. Certainly, it's kind of always felt that way
01:07 to me. Junior Firpo is still around, remains to be seen what happens there if he stays,
01:10 et cetera. And, you know, I suppose, like, he'll probably come into the summer as first
01:14 choice left back. But I think Sam Byron, a fit Sam Byron would usurp him, that's for sure.
01:18 Go on a member with Byron as well, he can play right back as well. So he has the option
01:21 to switch him over as well. So, yeah, I think he's been a very, very good sign. And I mean,
01:24 it's incredible that he was a free agent, really, and they managed to get him. I mean,
01:26 but that's obviously because of the, you know, the sort of past he's had recently. But you
01:30 keep your fingers crossed for him. He looks great. He bonds forward. That's what Leeds
01:33 needs. He doesn't shirk tackles or anything. It's not like he doesn't feel like he's going
01:37 into him thinking, oh, I might trigger an injury here, because obviously it was hamstring
01:40 that he had that was out for so long at Norwich. But yeah, he's looked very, very good signing.
01:44 And, you know, so far, so good. But I just would, I would think they'd probably still
01:48 need extra cover or like someone who can play both left back and right back. Hence, I looked
01:53 to Max Aarons, I mean, that would make perfect sense to me, someone like that,
01:56 which is I'm sure what I'll go for.
