India was on top with the bowl in their hand as England struggled to make runs. With the early outburst of Ravichandran Ashwin & later Ishant Sharma, England wasn’t able to set a target of more than 200 runs for India. It was the over of Ishant Sharma that got 3-English batsman back to the pavilion & brought back India into the game. India while chasing a target of 194 runs got off to the worst start possible. The top order with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay & KL Rahul failed. Rahane’s dismal form continued as Dinesh Karthik & Virat Kohli stay at the end of the day with India needing another 84 runs to win the first Test at Edgbaston.
