“It’s rubbish”: Londoners have their say on the ULEZ scrappage scheme expansion

Locals in Crystal Palace have their say on the scrappage scheme expansion and what ULEZ means to them.

01:02 possibly might not be able to afford to buy a new car, which puts them in a situation

01:07 of getting the kids to school. My friend was in tears over the phone over the weekend about

01:14 it, her car actually has to be scrapped and she doesn't know whether she's actually going

01:19 to be able to find the finance and the funds and get a car back in time for school time.

01:24 Well if you had a car, yes, I presume so. Again, you see, I don't have a car, so, I'm

01:33 sure I could put it to good use for something else, a better bicycle or something like that.

01:57 takes them from A to B, namely work? Most people who have a car that isn't, you know,

02:04 is cost effective and maybe, they're the people that are running the country, the nurses,

02:08 the teachers, the doctors, we've all got those types of cars and he wants to give us two

02:13 grand for an 11 grand car. Come on, it's rubbish.
