00:34 The immediate confirmation is done.

00:37 Then the sale transaction also is digitally recorded.

00:40 And a digital register is maintained.

00:42 This technology is there,

00:44 and then this is what can be used.

00:46 Even the service provider, for example.

00:48 Like, for example, the shopkeepers.

00:50 Or the people, you know, who are collecting payment.

00:53 You know, they also need to be aware that, you know,

00:58 and they don't have to go through the hassles

01:02 For example, every card transaction, you know,

01:04 entails a merchant discount rate.

01:06 You know, MDR charges, which can range from half percent

01:10 Now in case of, if you are making a payment through Aadhaar,

01:13 you don't have to make those payments.

01:15 So it is a relevant situation for the shopkeeper

01:19 or the trader, and also for the people.

01:21 India is the only country

01:23 which has given a digital identity

01:25 to more than 121 crore population.

01:29 Now every digital identity is not an identity

01:31 only in a paper, because it can be verified online

01:34 anytime, anywhere, right?

01:35 Unless in a village, you know,

01:37 wherever you have a mobile connectivity,

01:39 even a 2G connectivity,

01:41 there the people can make actually a payment.

01:44 You know, as I mentioned, through the Aadhaar Pay,

01:48 you know, digitally, without any debit card, credit card.

01:51 So every person's thumb is like his debit card,

01:54 and he can use this.
