A young boy screams during his first ever flight - as the pilot pulled a twist in mid-air.

Francois Jacobus Prins, six, was filmed by his dad Kobus, 38, during his first experience in an aircraft.

Francois is left screaming when the pilot performs a barrel roll after taking off from Klerksdorp, North West Province, South Africa.

Soon after the plane resumes its original position and Francois is seen whimpering as his dad readjusts his headset.

Francois's cheeky smile soon returns as he enjoys the rest of the flight.

Kobus said: "This was his first time flying. He has not flown ever before.

"But he knew the pilot was going to do some sort of trick.

"I have also flown with that pilot while he did tricks so I knew he was going to get scared.

"Afterwards he really felt proud of himself and actually wanted to go again."

Despite this happening three years ago, Francois has not been given the chance to get back into the cockpit.

Kobus said: "He will jump on it if there is such an opportunity again - he really wants to do it again.

"Everyone just said how brave he is and laughed a lot at the video afterwards.

"He was nervous but always wants to show his brother and sister that he is not scared."

The video was filmed in 2020.
