02:18So basically I got to the building at 11 o'clock and there was already a truck set up with layers of barbed wire,

02:38and he goes, we're going to climb up this lower roof and that's the roof I thought we were going off to.
02:43I thought we were going off to the lower roof to the left.

02:48But then we're going to climb up a ladder to the higher roof which is about 40 feet in the air
02:53and I'm going to throw you off through all this stuff.
02:56And at the time I didn't even agree to doing anything with light bulbs or anything like that.
03:04So that was kind of just like a spur of the moment thing that Zandeg is like, alright, you're in this match
03:08so you're going to have to, you know, roll with the punches.
03:11So I seen this and I immediately turned pale white.
03:15I looked at my girlfriend and I knew something was going to go wrong.
03:19But I was like, alright, I'm here.
03:21There's no way, there's no backing out of this.
03:23I put myself in this corner.
03:25I backed myself up against this wall and now there's no easy way out.
03:29I just have to go through with it and I have to, you know, I have to make sure, cross my fingers and hope I don't get hurt.
03:35So we're having the match, the match is going great.
03:43Zandeg, he hasn't trained in six years, hasn't stepped in the ring in six years.

04:53We go off, and it feels like the drop feels like the longest, longest drop ever.

05:05We go through, and I knew right then and there, like, I saw, like, a flash.
05:11And it was just like, whoa, that was crazy.
05:14Like, that was nothing a human should feel.
05:18Like, it was like getting, it was legit like getting in a car accident.
05:21And as soon as I thought that, I'm like, am I alive or am I dead?
05:25I went into shock.
05:26Like, I didn't know what was going on.
05:27Like, my body tensed up.
05:29I couldn't move anything.
05:31And as soon as that happened, all the light tubes flew up in the air, and then they came crashing down on us.
05:40Then there was glass in my face.
05:41There was glass in my mouth.
05:43The poison from the light bulbs was in the air, so you couldn't see anything.
05:48It was just a cloudy, it was like being in a, like an explosion, like a bomb went off.
05:53I was, I kept on saying that, am I alive?

05:56I'd look at my finger.
05:57I knew automatically that my finger was basically almost sliced off.
06:02I was like, I need to go to the hospital.

07:00Um, I was in a daze because I was basically wrapped up in a net of barbed wire, which was very unnecessary.
07:08I don't know why there was a net of barbed wire there, but that's basically what sliced my finger open, I think.
07:13When I came down, I slapped the ground and the barbed wire just sliced right through my finger, nearly slicing my finger off, you know.
07:21And I was like, shit, I had a couple beers after the match.
07:25I was like, all right, I'm good.
07:26I don't have a concussion.

07:28Uh, I talked to the doctors there.
07:30They said, we can glue you up right now.
07:31I said, no, I need to go to the hospital.
07:33My finger is hanging off.
07:36I don't think you'll be able to glue this one on.
07:38As soon as I went to the hospital, they realized, they're like, you ruptured all the tendons in your thumb.
07:43You'll never be able to have that motion in your thumb again.
07:47You'll, you might not be able to use that thumb ever again.
07:51Um, you have to go in for immediate surgery in the next couple of days.
07:55So, that was it.
07:58What did you think of your son when he came home with the thumb completely almost hanging off of his hand?

08:11Um, and I knew that wasn't going to happen.
08:14It was like, everyone saw that video of him jumping.
08:17And there were, you know, people I just ran into.
08:21That was one of the biggest, um, you know, talks of communication about him.
08:26And it's like, why, why does he want to do that?
08:28You know, what does he have a death sentence?
08:31Um, there's really no answers for why he does what he does.
08:35He's a grown man.
08:44He can do what he wants to do.
08:45And, but there is a dangerous side.
08:47And, you know, we kind of hope that it's going to sum up soon.
08:51But it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
08:54You know, there's only a certain age you can kind of wrestle to.
08:57So, we made it this far.
