The new President of Trinidad and Tobago says one means through which she believe "the youth can come to the country's aid, particularly in this season of rising crime, is through the model provided by the steelband movement in its preparations for Panorama."

It was one of several priorities President Christine Kangaloo identified as the nation's seventh President, after she took her oath of office on Monday.
