When surf lifesaving coach Sam Hensen-Thompson couldn't find his shoes on the way out the door for a run, he grabbed a pair of thongs. That decision led him to complete a half marathon in thongs, and now he's going for a full 42 kilometre 'mara-thong' to raise money for sick children.
