Barisan Nasional leaders held a press conference on Saturday after winning the Tanjung Piai by-election by a majority of 15,086 votes.
Despite expressing shock at the landslide win, they said they would continue to strengthen the opposition coalition and provide checks and balances to the Pakatan Harapan-led government.
