The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines reached more than 19,000, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on June 3, Wednesday.
The DOH said of the new 751 new cases, 221 are fresh cases while 530 are late cases or test results released in the last four days or more..
So far, 4,153 individuals have recovered. Ninety more patients were able to beat the dreaded disease, the Health department stated in its latest case bulletin.
Meanwhile, eight new fatalities were recorded. This brings to 974 the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country.
