The House of Representatives will launch its much-awaited investigation on the flood control projects controversy on Tuesday, Sept. 2, via its so-called infrastructure committee (infra comm).
00:00The House of Representatives will launch its investigation on the flood control project's controversy on Tuesday, September 2, through its Infrastructure Committee, or INFRACOM.
00:15Bicol Saro Party List Representative Terry Ridon made this announcement during a press conference earlier today.
00:23According to Ridon, the INFRACOM probe will focus on projects that have been inspected by President Marcos.
00:30The committee will be composed of three separate panels, namely the House Committees on Public Accounts, on Good Government and Public Accountability, and on Public Works and Highways.
00:42These panels are chaired by Ridon, Manila 3rd District Representative Joel Chua, and Surigao del Sur 1st District Representative Romeo Momo Sr., respectively.
00:53Meanwhile, the Malacanang is leading an audit of flood control projects all over the country, which has placed the DPWH under intense scrutiny amid suspicions that the agency, the contractors, and the lawmakers work together to earn massive kickbacks from these projects.
