00:00There was a flooding incident in Davao, where there were 265 areas based on the City Engineering Office.

00:12Notably, 140 are in the 1st District, 69 are in the 2nd District, and 56 are in the 3rd District.

00:20Now, before, it was not so bad for Davao, but now it's not so bad for Davao.

00:27But Mayor Bastet Duterte, the president said that this flood control project investigation is only a PR stunt.

00:38What's your reaction here?

00:42I think it's very important for the Philippines to be present during times of crisis.

00:55So, I think that's the first point that we want to make.

00:59But secondly, it's very important to recognize that flooding is not just flood control.

01:08We also talk about the climate change, and we also talk about the speed of water from the land to the mountains and the mountains.

01:17But there's a centrality of flood control systems in our cities.

01:23So, it's very important, definitely, that we can also see the impact of the flood control systems within Davao City and within Davao Region.

01:33So, I think that can serve as a basis to also look into the implementation of flood control projects within Davao City and Davao Region.
