'Good yan': House leaders cool with Marcos' lifestyle check order

Ranking members of the House of Representatives favor President Marcos' call for a lifestyle check on government officials, starting with those from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)--arguably the current center of controversy as far as alleged corruption is concerned. 00:10na magkaroon din po ng lifestyle checks

00:12sa mga miyembro po ng Kongreso,

00:14miyembro po kahit ng hudikatura.

00:17Kasi syempre, kailangan naman po talagang all-encompassing.

00:19And more importantly,

00:21meron talagang mga expectations

00:24on all government officials,

00:27on all government employees,

00:28na talagang mga pong dapat we should be able to lead

00:32and live modest lives.

00:34So I think very important po yun

00:37na hindi lang ho mag-target, for example, on DPWH,

00:42but on each and every agency

00:43and on each and every political branch of government.

00:48Ako, I'm in favor of that.

00:51Kung naais ng Pangulong simulan sa DPWH,

00:55well and good, no?

00:56Pero kinakailangan lahat.

00:57Sabi nga ni Congresman Terry doon,

00:59lahat niya, pati judisyari, lahat na.

01:04Talagang magkaroon ng lifestyle check.

01:07I'm in favor of what the president has said.
