Bernard MacFadden and Harry Houdini started up in 1899 and filled American Culture with triggers to influence the creation of Superman and Batman. Through Physical Culture magazine, Charles Atlas and Walter Gibson’s Houdini trick book, we’d have a series of events to start off the two flagship comic books of National Allied Publications, later known as DC Comics.
