Ancient Aliens or Ancient Astronauts are thought to have been extraterrestrials that visited earth before its recorded written history and influenced early mankind, and shaped its mythologies.  This video is a brief history of the genesis of this genre in the 20th century through books like H.P. Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu, Chariots of the Gods, Comic books like Jack Kirby's Eternals, culminating in the 1979 film, Alien.
