MP slams Whirlpool over response to tumble dryer fires

The Chair of the House of Commons Business Committee has demanded "urgent action" from manufacturer Whirlpool to resolve fix up to one million defective tumble dryers that are potential fire hazards. Rachel Reeves MP has said she believes the firm "don't take these issues seriously enough" despite their dryers causing at least 750 fires since 2004. Report by Chulanin.
