00:00And I think if you speak to most parents and carers, particularly those that have
00:05got children 0 to 5, they want to know the government's on their side and they
00:09want some help because until now all they've got to guide them is their own
00:13instincts, what they're talking to their friends about and so for the government
00:18to say we've done the research and we think that for 0 to 5 year olds it's
00:22sensible that we have guidelines in place, 0 to 2 year olds no screen time
00:26at all, 2 to 5, about an hour a day, not at mealtimes, not just before bed and if
00:34possible for parents and carers to look at it together with their child. I think
00:39most people say that's about right. Now we're not enforcing this, we're not going to
00:43go around checking up on people. I think it'll be a relief and reassurance. I don't
00:47think there'll be many people saying this is overreach, you shouldn't be bothered.
00:51Most people think something's got to be done here.
