Air Force Planes Land On Highway Near Lucknow. Sixteen planes of the Indian Air Force performed in the exercise. The three-hour long exercise simulates an emergency situation when airbases, the first target of bombs and missiles, won't be available for air operations, necessitating use of highways as landing strips.

ചരിത്രം കുറിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യോമസേന വിമാനങ്ങൾ . ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ്​ ഉന്നാവോയിലെ ലഖ്​നോ–ആഗ്ര എക്​സ്​പ്രസ്​ വേയിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യോമസേനയുടെ യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങൾ പറന്നിറങ്ങി. വ്യോമസേനാഭ്യാസത്തിന്​ സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുന്നതിനായി തിങ്കളാഴ്​ച മുതൽ ഇതുവഴിയുള്ള ഗതാഗതം നിയന്ത്രിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും നീളം കൂടിയ എക്​സ്​പ്രസ്​ വേയാണ്​ ഇത്​. വ്യോമസേനയുടെ സി–130 ‘സൂപ്പർ ഹെർകുലീസ്​’ വിമാനമാണ്​ ആദ്യം ഹൈവേയിൽ സുരക്ഷിത ലാൻഡിങ്​ നടത്തിയത്​.
