Trump holds 'far-reaching talks' with critic Romney

President-elect Donald Trump met with one of his harshest critics Mitt Romney, amid speculation he had been lined up for a position as Secretary of State.

But Romney remained silent on a possible job offer but said they had discussed world affairs saying the discussions were
“very thorough” and adding that he appreciated “the chance to speak with the President-elect, and look forward to the coming administration and the things he’s going to be doing.”

During the campaign Romney had called Trump a ‘con-artist’ while Trump had described Romney as one of worst candidates in the history of Republican politics, after his failed presidential bid in 2012.
