Today our host Cody Weddle takes us to a gym in Venezuela’s Ministry of Sports in Caracas, where we meet sumo wrestling champion and instructor Duglexer Gonzalez, better known as Muzampa Khalifa in the world of sports and hip hop, as well. Our guest weighs in at 485 pounds (220 kg), but says that people of all sizes can practice sumo. He speaks about the roots of the sport in ancient Japan and its Taoist influences of spiritual unity, strength and harmony. Muzampa is excited about his current work in the poor communities in Caracas, where he teaches sumo as part of a program to help build a better society. teleSUR
