Supporters of right-wing opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez marched in Caracas on Friday morning to protest Thursday0s ruling that sentenced him to nearly 14 years in prison. Lopez was found guilty of inciting violence in February 2014 that resulted in the deaths of 43 people on both sides of the political divide. He was also found guilty of criminal association, and his defense lawyers said they will appeal the decision. The ruling was celebrated by grassroots organizations that view Lopez as a dangerous conspirator and charge that his claims of peaceful protest are false. teleSUR
