Somos Las Bolas is a film I shot and directed the summer I graduated high school. It was plagued with scheduling nightmares, and some technical difficulties in post production. What came out of it went on to win several film awards at various festivals, and now it sits as a relic of my achievements of yesteryear, and hopefully, a promise of what is to come.

The film is an adaptation of a short story by author and internet sensation Philip J Reed, VSc. It tells the tale of a nameless teenage boy who is ill-equipped to handle the world around him, and instead must sit idly as the things he want slip by him, all while a simple game of ping pong tears a group of friends apart.

The 2015 director's cut alters the original 2007 film in several big ways, such as converting the footage to black and white and adjusting angles, lighting, and so forth. Most alterations are purely aesthetic, and the main body of the film remains as originally shot and edited.
