Next October’s presidential elections were kicked off In Argentina on Sunday after nine different coalitions nominated their candidates for primaries to be held on August 9. Even so, the real race is expected to be between incumbent President Cristina Fernandez’ ruling “Front for Victory” party and the right-wing “Cambiémos” coalition. In addition to choosing a new president, 130 new representatives and 24 new senators will also be elected. The ruling FPV party is expected to gain more seats in Parliament.
