00:39of the natural disaster.
00:48The Mexican president shared an assessment of data with a preliminary figure of homes affected
00:52by the unusual rains that have hit the country in recent days.
00:57Yesterday we made an estimate of what could be affected, but that estimate is not that
01:04100,000 homes could be affected, 100,000 homes or towns, 100 million houses affected in the
01:12five states of the republic, and in all cases there will be support.
01:16We made this estimate based on the number of houses in each affected municipality and an
01:23estimate of the percentage of the municipality that is affected.
01:27This is a completely preliminary figure until the census is completed, as we cannot give a
01:32final figure until the census is completed.
01:35In this context, starting on October 13, a census of those affected by the intense rains will
01:42be carried out in Mexico, in the states of Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, Queretaro and San Luis Potosí.
01:48The Mexican president, Clayda Sheinbaum, assured that no resources will be spared to support
01:53the population of the five states with a budget allocated for this type of disaster.
01:58The Secretary of Warfare, Adriana Montiel, reported that the survey will begin with the
02:04aim of sending an initial delivery for cleaning work, then sending appliances for minor belongings.
02:10To speed up the process, 600 big areas would also be sent to rich areas that are difficult to access.
