In his third novel, "Subtle Bodies", Norman Rush looks at a group of middle-aged college pals meeting to commemorate the death of one of their own. His first book, "Whites", was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and his debut novel "Mating" won the National Book Award in 1991.
He talks to Eve Jackson about the fragility of relationships, becoming a published author in his 50s and how Botswana inspired him.
