Across Latin America and the world, May Day celebrations were held to mark International Workers' Day. In Havana, hundreds of thousands marched to a rally in Revolution Square where Cuban President Raul Castro was joined by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Delegations from 68 countries participated in the festivities. Also present at the Havana celebration were the 5 Cuban Heroes, the anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the United States and the last of whom were freed by US President Barack Obama as part of the thaw in relations between the two countries. teleSUR
