Tear Gas Fired at Cairo Protesters

Tear gas was used to disperse anti-government protesters in central Cairo on Thursday, January 22, just three days ahead of plans for a major demonstration to mark the anniversary of the 2011 Egyptian uprising. Thousands are expected to attend Sunday’s demonstration to mark the four-year anniversary of the revolution that toppled Hosni Mubarak.
