There's nothing
More dear in life
Than a visit of
A childhood friend.
Sat by the fireplace
And chatted and chatted
Over a bottle of wine
Reminiscing the past.
Old I've turned now
An old friend I met
Both full of experience
And life's ups and downs.
Years wrinkled the surface
Resilience deep inside
Both of us felt the same
And the joy of childhood days.
Town we lived was small
There was only one school
Had fun playing many games
And fun roaming all around.
Talk went on for hours
Deep into the night
Never knew when we slept
Opened eyes in the morning.
