His outspoken stance against making federalist Jean-Claude Juncker the next European Commission president could - according to one New York Times editorial - push the UK down a one-way path out of Europe. With a solid core of centre-right and centre-left leaders now backing Luxembourg's Juncker, Eurosceptics will have an easy time of it blasting another case of Brussels collusion overriding the will of the people.
