How to print on balloons. This videos shows the process of customising balloons using a Rifco semi-automatic balloon printer as used by custom UK. A tray is inserted into the balloon printer that includes a mix of special balloon printer ink. The tray also includes a template of the image that is to be printed onto the balloon. When an inflated balloon is placed underneath the tray, a foot button is pressed that starts the automated section. The tray is pressed onto to the inflated balloon and a rubber squeegee forces ink through the template transferring the image onto the balloon thus customising it with the required design. The tray is also known as a silk screen. Other printers are available that are totally automated that can pick up the balloon, inflate it and move it under the tray. Semi automated are best used for small print runs, whilst fully automated are best for large print runs. For more on custom balloons visit our website.
