00:00Westeros could be heading to the big screen. Warner Bros. is officially developing a movie
00:04set in the world of Game of Thrones. Writer Bo Willimon of Andor and House of Cards is writing
00:10the script. The New York Post first broke the news of Willimon's involvement. The news was
00:14first teased in The Hollywood Reporter's recent cover story profile of George R.R. Martin,
00:18which revealed that both HBO and the Warner Bros. film division were working on rival versions of
00:23the story of Aegon the Conqueror's conquest of Westeros. As THR reported, the film version is
00:29being envisioned as a mammoth, dune-sized feature film. But of course, everything at Warner Bros.
00:34is a bit up in the air given the studio's expected sale to Paramount Skydance. But Paramount boss
00:39David Ellison was recently asked his favorite HBO show and cited Game of Thrones, which is a good
00:44sign for both the prospective film and for the future of HBO's many prequels and the sequel in
00:49the works. The latest HBO show from Martin, A Night of the Seven Kingdoms, recently wrapped up its debut
00:55season with the second season coming. Meanwhile, House of the Dragon returns for season three
01:09this summer. For much more on this story and all the latest movie and TV news,
