00:00Fellow askers, perhaps you have heard this statement already wherein a person says,
00:05I don't want to go to the church anymore because of the bad actions or scandals of the priests.
00:12While it's true that it's really disheartening or let's say disappointing that some priests were
00:18not really able to live up to their promises or were not able to live good lives, I think saying
00:26that we don't go or believe to the church because of those actions is not justified.
00:32But let me tell you why. Even if there are bad teachers, we still believe in education.
00:39Even if there are bad attorneys or bad policemen, we still believe in the power of law.
00:45And even if there are bad doctors, we still believe in the power of medicines.
00:50In the same way, even if there are bad priests, we should still believe in the church or in Catholicism.
00:58And by the way, why don't we look at Catholicism or in the church on the side of good people
01:06or on the side of holy priests?
01:10Perhaps some people might say there are really bad or many bad priests.
01:15It's true. We know that and the media has shown it to us.
01:21But sometimes the media is not showing the good actions of good priests or holy priests.
01:27So instead of looking at the scandals of the church, why don't we also look at the good side of the church?
01:34So if somebody would tell you that they don't want to go to the church anymore because of the scandals of the priests,
01:40why don't we try to show them the good actions or the good priests or holy priests that we have?
01:47Why don't we share them the beautiful and charitable actions of the church that we have?
01:55Thank you for watching. See you again next time, fellow askers.
