00:00Hello everybody, welcome back to another episode of GTA Online.
00:03Now first of all, apologies if the quality seems a bit weird, I'm doing this on the Xbox DVR,
00:08which isn't always that reliable, I haven't really used it before.
00:11I'm also having to do the narration after the recording, so, you know, if it seems a bit out of sync, that's why.
00:17But today, in today's episode we're going to be looking at heists, or more specifically, how to prepare for heists.
00:22You know, what you need to set them up, advise on transportation, vehicles,
00:27even the clothing that will help maximise your chance of survival, such as the bulletproof helmet.
00:33First of all, the heists don't actually come out until March 10th,
00:36so this is based on information from the Rockstar Newswire and various media outlets that have had previews of heists.
00:44Now, heists are quite similar to the offline mode heists, from what we can see.
00:50You know, you've got your set-up missions, you've got your main heist,
00:53you've got choosing what crew members do what job, and then you obviously get a share of the money that's received from the heists.
01:00Now, to actually join the heists, it's relatively simple.
01:03As far as I'm aware, you just have to have an account, be invited to the heists, and you can join the heists.
01:09If you want to set up a heist, it's a bit more difficult.
01:12The heist leader has to be level 12, which is easy, but they also need to have a high-end interior,
01:19so, you know, a high-end apartment is quite an expensive thing to get.
01:25More specifically, you need the boardroom at the back, which we're just walking over to.
01:30Now, if you want to know what flats or apartments have the high-end interior, this is actually simple to do.
01:38If you go to the laptop, or online internet, or in GTA, go to the Dynasty 8 website, property listings, and you've got a high-end category up here.
01:48If you scroll down, the cheapest one is $200,000.
01:52So, if you haven't got a high-end apartment already, it's going to be quite expensive to get one.
01:58The heist leader also has to pay for any upfront costs,
02:02so they're going to have to put in a lot more initial investment than the rest of the heist members.
02:08But being the heist leader, you also get to choose who gets what percentage cut everyone gets,
02:15so you can give yourself a higher cut off the money you receive from the heists.
02:20So, you can get back your initial investment that way,
02:24maybe another way is to get other heist members to contribute their own money,
02:28send it to you, and they all get an equal share at the end.
02:32Now, clothing... well, clothing doesn't really matter.
02:36There's only one or two that really matter.
02:38The bulletproof helmet, which helps protect from headshots, and team tops.
02:42I haven't tried team tops, but I have heard they can protect against some damage,
02:46so you may want to try them yourself.
02:48I would definitely use the bulletproof helmet, though.
02:52Now, when you're doing your heist, you're also going to want some good form of transportation.
02:56You may all take your own cars each, your own personal vehicles,
03:00but you may also agree that you want one specific vehicle.
03:03In which case, I would suggest, personally, the Gallivanter Bullner or the Karin BJ XL.
03:09Both are fast cars, good off-road, can take four people, very good cars.
03:14But, no matter what car you choose, you can't upgrade the top speed of the car,
03:19so you're going to want to pick one that has a very good top speed.
03:23When you go to upgrade it, if you want to upgrade it, you can't upgrade the top speed,
03:28like I said, but you can upgrade the acceleration and the brakes.
03:31You can also buy additional extras, like the armour, bulletproof tyres.
03:35Bulletproof tyres are a definite must.
03:37Armour is probably more for against explosions, for me personally,
03:42because the amount of bullets it takes to actually destroy a car is ridiculous.
03:46You can also see I've added bumpers and side skirts,
03:49that give a bigger surface area.
03:54Now, this may seem a bit silly, because that means bullets are more likely to hit the car,
03:57but say you take cover on the left here, and someone shoots at you from the right,
04:00they won't be able to hit you because of the custom skirts.
04:03Or, if you take cover behind the car, they won't be able to hit you because of the enlarged bumper.
04:08Not sure how useful that would actually be in a real-life situation,
04:11but anything that improves survivability when you're taking cover behind your car has got to help.
04:17So, you've set up the heist, you've got your crew members, you've got your car.
04:21The next thing you're going to want is weapons.
04:24Now, the heists, from what I understand, have lots of different scenarios.
04:28Some have infiltration, sneaky type missions, and some are going to involve a lot of explosions and big firefights.
04:37So, when you choose your weapons, you're going to want to be able to deal with all kinds of situations.
04:44Now, we're just on the way to ammunition at the minute, where I'll show you some of the weapons I've taken.
04:49I've actually got, I think, one silenced weapon for each category, because I want to be prepared for situations.
04:57Like I said, infiltration or just general shooting everything up that moves,
05:03because that will probably happen quite a lot of the time.
05:07So, as you can see here, I've got one suppressed weapon in each category,
05:11although the majority is unsuppressed, because you're only going to need one or two suppressed weapons really.
05:16You don't want to go overboard with them.
05:18But the next important thing is body armour.
05:21Not a lot of people realise, but you can actually stack body armour.
05:24You can see here I've got seven, and I can equip it whenever I want.
05:27I'm not sure if you can take seven of each different body armour, or if it's just seven overall.
05:33I'll quickly test it.
05:35Buy the super-heavy armour.
05:38No, you can just buy seven of all types. It doesn't stack for each different type.
05:42You can't take seven super-heavy, seven normal, seven super-light.
05:47But also buy snacks, because I think if you're in cover they instantly regenerate your health,
05:52which is something you definitely want.
05:54What else is there?
05:56I think there are some challenges to do with heists as well.
05:59If you're completing each for the first time, you get a cash bonus.
06:03If you complete them all in the right order, you get a million-dollar bonus.
06:07If you do them in the right order with the same crew members, you get a million-dollar bonus.
06:11And if you do them in the right order with the same crew members, and don't die, and it's on hard,
06:16not a single person dies in any of the heists, you get ten million dollars.
06:20So you can potentially get a lot of money, although not dying over five different heists on hard difficulty
06:26seems a bit too tough, maybe.
06:29But yeah, I think that's pretty much everything I wanted to cover in this episode.
06:33I hope you found it useful.
06:35Like I said, heists come out on March 10th, so you've got a few days to prepare if you haven't already.
06:41Like I said, I hope you found this episode useful.
06:44I hope you watch future episodes, and I'll see you next time.
