I asked 22 youngsters between 16 and 29 from 13 different European countries (Hungary, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Austria, Turkey, Romania and the Netherlands) the following questions:
1. In three words: What do you associate with your country? 2. What do you associate with Europe? 3. What social or politic topics are important for you (on the European level)? *(4. Describe the situation for youngsters in Europe: a) What are the chances? b) What are the challenges?) 5. What would you like to change (on the European level)? 6. Do you feel European?
On the one hand I wanted to build a platform for young people, to show our views, our ideas and what we would like to contribute to Europe. On the other hand I would like to motivate more youngsters to go abroad, to be open-minded towards other countries and cultures and to feel that we are a community - not only within Europe, but within the whole world!
