“It just felt like this was the show that was going to go on” — oh, how right you were about One Tree Hill, Chad Michael Murray… and you didn’t even know it!

00:00Man, I'll tell you, those early days for us,

00:04it was a lot of fun.

00:05My favorite scene and my favorite episode was the pilot.

00:08And the reason I say that is because I knew

00:11when I read the script,

00:12there was one thing I wrote on the front of the script

00:14and I just wrote, this show has legs.

00:16And I just meant that because I thought

00:17that this show can go anywhere.

00:18It can just go on and on and on.

00:20And I didn't know that I'd be right.

00:22Like I wasn't that astute to know that,

00:24but it just felt like this was the show

00:26that was gonna go on.

00:27I was kind of an old hat at Wilmington

00:30because that's where Dawson's was.

00:32So this is the Riverview Suites here.

00:34We had many nights here, James and I,

00:38had a hurricane party here where we learned

00:40that plates do in fact fly.

00:43You know, I think that one of the things about,

00:45that was special about the show

00:47is that you're moving to Wilmington, North Carolina, right?

00:49You're not in Los Angeles, you're not home.

00:52And so you have to make it your home,

00:54but who are the people you're seeing every day?

00:55It's your cast.

00:56So your cast becomes your family.

00:58You're with them all the time, 24 seven.

01:00You're planning dinners

01:02and you're gonna go out on the weekends together

01:04and you're doing all your press tours together.

01:06So you really are doing all of this together as a team.

01:09You know, like I remember our first time

01:11doing Planet Hollywood and doing TRL

01:14and doing these things

01:15and seeing what the show was becoming.

01:17I mean, it still blows my mind to this day.
